Gen. 12, 1-4;
Sal 32;
2Tim. 1, 8-10;
Mt 17, 1-9
set out, go to the top of the mountain, go to the silence of solitude for prayer, but the roads are uncertain unknown, although the rise is expensive, though in silent solitude of a cloud engulf us in the mystery, they are images that are presented to us in this meaningful Lenten second step which is to be our way to Easter, to the light , to the mystery of Christ. It's all a call, an invitation, a calling to take part in the work of the gospel transformers that lead to a life saint.
Abraham was on his way to the call of God and his way, though costly, will be the path of blessing. The disciples with Jesus up to the top of the mountain to plunge into the silence of prayer and may come to glimpse the glory of God to see Christ transfigured. Wrapped in a luminous cloud, a sign of God's presence with them, may come to find out who really is the Jesus that they have walked the roads of Palestine and now certainly know that the Son of God loved and beloved who have to listen.
Even if they wanted to stay forever in that ecstasy God must descend the mountain to follow the path of the Gospel that will lead the cross and the resurrection. Then yes, you can advertise what they have seen, then can and proclaim that Jesus is Lord, because he is the Son of God who listen and who to follow, and it is also our only salvation. And now feel called and invited to live a new life, a holy life in faithfulness to the gospel of Jesus.
Jesus began to announce what was to be their Passover Lamb because Pacual was to be killed, and he had to suffer the passion and death, it would be rejected and condemned, into the hand of the Gentiles and would die on the cross while always spoke of resurrection and life, but they did not fully understand, moreover, were shocked that this could happen to his Master.
To better understand Jesus leads to the high mountain to pray to come to understand what has to be your Easter. They climb, though it's hard, because that will mean moving away from extraneous noise and thoughts or ideas of what was to be the Messiah. Costs will rise because you have to get rid of dead weight many attachments and bonds, will cost up and we can not forget that Easter Jesus goes through the passion and death in order to attain the resurrection.
There Jesus unto them the truth of the mystery of God that He was transfigured as a foretaste of the glory of the resurrection. To reaffirm their faith, to understand the whole mystery of God, so that they understand everything that has to mean in your life Easter. 'He was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun and his garments became white as light' . It was the bright light of God.
Jesus is teaching us on our journey, up to mountain, emptying of dead weights, to turn away from our sound to the silence of prayer to find God. Not with ideas taken from here or there, than you might think anyone who wants to say always and know everything, how can we get to enjoy all that mystery of God in the gospel is revealed. How many voices heard here or there of what must be the religion, which has to be or do the Church, which have to be or do priests today.
We must learn to go to Tabor prayer, but increases to cost us or make us weary paths, are painful moments when I have to start from ourselves, or even sometimes fell asleep while we try to get into the mystery of God. We must learn to make silence and the void of noise or attachments to hear the voice of God in our hearts, and to begin to shine the light of God in our lives dispelling the clouds of our darkness and our doubts.
Notice what says the Pope's Lenten message this year: ' The Gospel of the Transfiguration of the Lord puts before our eyes the glory of Christ, anticipates announcing the resurrection and deification man. The Christian community is aware that it is carried, like the Apostles Peter, James and John "them up a high mountain" (Mt 17, 1), to host again in Christ, as sons in the Son, the gift of grace God: "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased hear him" (v. 5). Is the invitation to avoid the bustle of everyday life to dive into God's presence: he wants to convey to us, every day, a word that penetrates the depths of our spirit, where discerning good and evil (cf. Heb 4 12) and strengthens the will to follow the Lord. "
dive into this gospel of Transfiguration of the Lord of this second Sunday of Lent. Because we also have to feel transfigured Christ, for the Father s beloved children want to call. And is that 'you are buried with Christ in Baptism and you were also raised with him. " And since then, since our baptism, when the heavenly Father calls us also to us children. In Baptism or the power of the Spirit, we've filled the life of God, we have become partakers of the life of God and are children.
much we need to transform our lives to shine and the light of grace, God's light within us. Lent this this holy time that the Church offers us, as we have said, that we look and purify us so many things pulling us can fill with darkness, so that looking at the shining light of God in Christ and fills us with his light on the extent that we are more holy.
We must listen to Jesus, shows us the Father from heaven on Mount Tabor. Listen to Jesus, hear his word. As the Pope says 'meditating and internalising to live every day, learn a precious and irreplaceable form of prayer because attentive listening to God still speaks to our hearts, nourish the journey of faith that began on the day of baptism ... ' Prayer, which leads us to meet God and commune with Him, that opens to eternity and transcendence because it fills us with hope that does not fail us, the hope of eternal life.
We will now prepare to celebrate Easter, we are preparing for this Lenten journey we are doing. If we leave lead us by the Lord, by that Word which enlightens us, for all that we felt there within us in the climb to the mountain of prayer each day, we celebrate it every way. Because they feel the way of God who comes to us to fill your life and not fear, then there is death in the easter in us all that we have to transform all that what we have to go to evolve so that it can shine the light of Christ in our lives.
That in the end we also see the bright cloud enveloped the resurrection. Let us set out like Abraham that God will always lead us down a path of blessing.
